Our Botox Brands: Xeomin
Xeomin Botox in Lutz, FL, from a physician at your door
Xeomin is one of the two Botox brands Dr. Melanie Espinet uses, at $12/unit. She treats frown lines, forehead lines, and crow’s feet herself, at your home or office across Tampa Bay or at the Lutz office.
The same Botox family, a purified formula
Xeomin (incobotulinumtoxinA, made by Merz) is a botulinum toxin type A, the same family of wrinkle relaxers most people simply call Botox. A small dose relaxes the muscle that creases the skin when you frown, raise your brows, or smile, so the line above it softens.
What sets Xeomin apart is its formulation. It is purified down to the active ingredient, without the accessory proteins found in some other brands, which is why it is often called a “naked” neuromodulator. It is FDA-approved for frown lines between the brows, forehead lines, and crow’s feet.

Switching from another brand
Had Allergan Botox or Dysport elsewhere? Dr. Espinet reviews your past units and areas and plans your Xeomin dose from there.
Prefer a purified formula
Some patients simply prefer a neuromodulator without accessory proteins. Ask Dr. Espinet how that applies to you.
First-time Botox
A conservative first dose, a follow-up check, and adjustments next time if you want more or less movement.
Every Xeomin dose, placed by Dr. Espinet
Natural-looking results come from careful dosing and placement. At MeliOra, every injection is performed personally by Dr. Espinet as part of a concierge, physician-led practice. She studies how your face moves before she treats it, and she comes to you across Lutz and Tampa Bay with no travel fee.
Xeomin $12/unit
Same price as Jeuveau. You agree on your units and total before any treatment begins.

Dr. Espinet comes to your home, office, or event across Hillsborough, Pasco, and Pinellas counties at our published menu prices, with no travel fee and no surcharge for the house call. Select in-person appointments are also available at our Lutz office. By appointment only.

How many units of Xeomin, and what it costs
Xeomin is $12/unit at MeliOra, so your total is the number of units times $12. These are the maximum doses on Xeomin’s FDA label for each approved area. For more on pricing, see what Botox costs in Lutz.
| Area | Label maximum dose | Cost at $12/unit |
|---|---|---|
| Frown lines between the brows | 20 units | $240 |
| Forehead and frown lines together | 40 units (20 + 20) | $480 |
| Crow’s feet (both sides) | 24 units (12 per side) | $288 |
| All three upper-face areas | 64 units | $768 |
Label reference doses, not a quote. The label lists forehead lines as treated together with frown lines. Dr. Espinet sets your dose at consultation and may use fewer units for a softer result.
Xeomin vs. Jeuveau, and how they compare to Allergan Botox
MeliOra’s two Botox brands cost the same, so price never steers the choice. Dr. Espinet recommends one based on your goals and history. The full brand comparison is on our Botox page.
Xeomin
IncobotulinumtoxinA by Merz. Purified, without accessory proteins. FDA-approved for frown lines, forehead lines, and crow’s feet. $12/unit.
Jeuveau
PrabotulinumtoxinA by Evolus. Made only for cosmetic use and FDA-approved for frown lines between the brows. $12/unit.
Allergan Botox
The original brand and the name many people use for all of them. Not offered at MeliOra. If it worked well for you elsewhere, bring your past units and areas.
Dysport
Not offered at MeliOra. It is dosed on a different unit scale, so Dr. Espinet converts your history rather than copying the number.
Switching to Xeomin from another Botox brand
Many patients come to MeliOra after Allergan Botox or Dysport elsewhere. Units are not strictly interchangeable between brands, so Dr. Espinet does not simply copy your old number. She looks at what you had, how it worked, and how your face moves today, then plans a Xeomin dose to match the result you liked.
To make that easy, bring what you can:
- The product, the number of units, and the areas treated.
- The date of your last treatment and how long it lasted.
- Anything you did not like, such as a heavy brow or too little movement.
- A photo of your result at its best, if you have one.
When Xeomin starts working, and how long it lasts
Xeomin works on the muscle first, so lines soften as the muscle relaxes.
| Timeframe | What you may notice |
|---|---|
| First few days | The effect begins. Lines start to soften when you frown or raise your brows. |
| About 2 weeks | The effect is usually near its peak. A good time for a follow-up check. |
| About 3 to 4 months | Movement gradually returns, a signal to plan your next visit. |
Typical patterns, not promises. Timing varies with the area, the dose, and your muscles.

Xeomin aftercare, kept simple
Dr. Espinet gives you aftercare instructions at your visit. Typical guidance focuses on keeping the product where it was placed while it settles. More tips: how to get the most from your treatment.
- Do not rub or massage the treated areas for the rest of the day.
- Stay upright for about four hours.
- Skip strenuous exercise and saunas until the next day.
- Wait to judge your result until about two weeks after treatment.
Side effects, and who should hold off
Xeomin is FDA-approved, and most side effects are mild and temporary. Dr. Espinet reviews them with you before treatment.
Common and short-lived
A small bruise or redness where the needle went in, or a mild headache, usually settling within days.
Uncommon
A heavy or drooping brow or eyelid, or uneven results, which are temporary. Careful dosing and placement help lower that risk.
Rare but serious
Like every botulinum toxin, the effect can rarely spread beyond the treated area. Get medical care right away for any trouble swallowing, speaking, or breathing, or new muscle weakness.
Who should hold off
Wait if you are pregnant or breastfeeding or have an infection where you would be treated. A neuromuscular condition such as myasthenia gravis, or a past allergic reaction to a neuromodulator, may rule treatment out. Share all medications, including certain antibiotics and muscle relaxants.

Xeomin questions
Is Xeomin the same as Botox?
Xeomin and Allergan’s Botox are both botulinum toxin type A, so they work the same way: they relax the muscle behind a line. They are different brands with different formulations. Xeomin is made without accessory proteins. At MeliOra, Xeomin and Jeuveau are the two Botox brands on the menu; Allergan’s Botox brand is not offered.
How much does Xeomin cost in Lutz?
Xeomin is $12/unit at MeliOra, the same as Jeuveau, with no house-call surcharge. Your total depends on the areas treated and the units your plan calls for, and Dr. Espinet confirms both with you before treatment.
Who injects Xeomin at MeliOra?
Dr. Melanie Espinet, a board-certified physician, performs every treatment herself. Injections are never delegated to a nurse injector or assistant.
Is Xeomin FDA-approved?
Yes. Xeomin is FDA-approved for the temporary improvement of frown lines between the brows, forehead lines, and crow’s feet in adults, as well as for several medical conditions that MeliOra does not treat.
Can I get Xeomin at home in Tampa Bay?
Yes. Dr. Espinet brings Xeomin to your home or office across Hillsborough, Pasco, and Pinellas counties with no travel fee. Select in-person appointments are also available at the Lutz office. Call or text (813) 726-5808 or book online.
How many units of Xeomin do I need?
Xeomin’s FDA label lists up to 20 units for frown lines, 20 more for forehead lines treated alongside them, and 24 for crow’s feet (12 per side), or 64 for all three. Those are reference points, not a quote. Dr. Espinet sets your dose after watching how your face moves, at $12/unit.
How long does Xeomin last?
Results typically last about three to four months, then movement gradually returns. How long it lasts for you depends on the area, the dose, and your muscles. The label calls for retreatment no more often than every three months, and Dr. Espinet helps you plan the timing.
How soon does Xeomin start working?
Many people notice lines softening within the first few days, and the effect is usually near its peak at about two weeks. That is a good time to judge your result and check in with Dr. Espinet.
Is Xeomin or Jeuveau better?
Neither is better for everyone. Both are FDA-approved botulinum toxin type A products, both are $12/unit at MeliOra, and both soften expression lines. Xeomin is made without accessory proteins and is approved for three upper-face areas; Jeuveau is approved for frown lines. Dr. Espinet recommends one based on your goals and your history.
Can I switch from Botox or Dysport to Xeomin?
Yes. Bring the product, units, areas, and date of your last treatment. Units are not strictly interchangeable between brands, so Dr. Espinet plans your Xeomin dose from your history and an exam rather than copying your old number.
Does Xeomin help if Botox stopped working for me?
Sometimes. A weaker result can have many causes, including dose, placement, and timing. Because Xeomin is made without accessory proteins, some physicians consider it when a patient’s response to another brand has faded, though the evidence is limited. Dr. Espinet reviews your history and talks through your options.
Do you offer Xeomin near Tampa, Wesley Chapel, and Odessa?
Yes. Dr. Espinet brings Xeomin to your home or office across Hillsborough, Pasco, and Pinellas counties, including Tampa, Wesley Chapel, Odessa, and Land O’ Lakes, with no travel fee. Select in-person appointments are also available at the Lutz office.
